Details: I learned to teach English in wujiang as I was told the method of teaching chinese kids was quite different to teaching kids of English speaking countries because English is a foreign language in china so I had to learn to play games, sing songs and be funny if needed in the class room so as to make my classes lively for the kids and to be able to capture their attention so has to teach them English using TPR(Total Physical Response) which involved the use of body language and actions to help the kids remember English words. I also learned to reward kids for their efforts and to encourage them to try their best even if it seems little. The book I was given to use to teach the kids was GOGO and my teaching schedule was every Monday –Friday evenings and weekends.
2008-2009: Wuyi Primary School, Fengtai District ,Beijing

Details: Lily English made use of English movies to teach kids English which the kids really enjoyed a lot. The kid’s ages were 8-12years old. I was given movies that I would watch at home and then come to the class room and play the movies for the kids and then ask questions for an hour and depends on how the kids answer I give them stars on the board then the second hour of our class was for English discussion which I would picked a topic. There was once I told the kids they could ask me anything they would like to know about me and wow they asked lot of things I never expected such as “why did I come to china? How did I come to china? What is my phone number? Do I have qq? what is my qq number? Another time I told them to tell me 2 or 3 letter words but they must also use it to make I complete sentence to get a point and they cant use a word twice so that day was also fun. lily English provided the movies which we watched and our classes were 2hours per class in the weekends and the number of classes I did was assigned by the management.
2010-2011: Beijing Zhong Shan Experimental Kindergarten

Details: I was teaching here same time I was teaching in lily English. I thought here Monday-Friday and taught in lily in the weekends. I was in charge of teaching kids from 3-6years old English words, sentences , English songs and we also played games.the school provided me with play way flash cards to use in teaching the kids English words while I decided how to use those words in sentences. My teaching schedules was from 8:30am-11am and I was teaching 4classes a day.
2011-2014: Huijia Kindergarten , Shangdi , Beijing

Details: I came to huijia as a substitute teacher and was teaching K1-K4 but after a week I was offered a full time position due to the way I was teaching the kids and how I played with them and the new methods of teaching that I brought to the school. Even the kids parents saw the changes I brought to the kindergarten and would sometimes come talk with me about their kids. I went from class to class playing with the kids even if I was on break and taught them many things and how to answer questions in English and even taught K4 to read English sentences. The 3years I taught there was the best 3years of my teaching career in china. I was cherished and loved in the school and all the parents insisted I be the one to teach their kids because from the moment I started in the school I used every experience I had gathered through out the years of English teaching in china and away to make the kids learning fun and enjoyable. Sometimes I walk in on Monday morning and tell the kids “this week we are only going to play games” and from Monday to Friday we shall play a different game but of course whatever game I played with them was related to things I had taught them in the classroom so in other words the games served as review/reminder so they do not forget what I had already taught them.
