Teach English, Spoken English to junior and middle school classes of 10 to 20 students. Design curriculum, select textbooks and set course objectives. Develop lessons, evaluation methods and criteria. Clearly outline expectations and class protocols to create positive, productive learning environments.
- Employ differentiated teaching methods, incorporating kinesthetic, audio and visual activities to address all learning styles. Assess mastery daily; review and/or revise lessons and provide individualized instruction to keep all students at expected skill level.
- Identify and organize field trips to enhance curriculum. Special events include class trips around Ukraine. Develop hands-on cultural and language-oriented projects; lead students in demonstrating for younger classes as appropriate.
- Team teach as Special Needs Classroom Assistant for other teacher, providing one-on-one guidance and modification of lessons, assignments and tests to meet IEP goals. Contribute to classification determinations and development of IEP plans.
- Mentor and/or orient new teachers , assisting with classroom management methods and curriculum ideas. Liaise with peers to balance student workloads, strategizing to distribute homework, projects and tests evenly throughout semesters. - Meet with parents to discuss progress and address behavior or mastery issues. Develop discipline plans and work closely with at-risk students. |
