Responsibilities:-

 

Safety:

 

          Ensures that employees adhere to standard safety regulations

          Serves on the safety committee of BP as a representative

          Ensures that safe working procedures are in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements including that of the clients are followed

Technical Work:

 

          Ensures that vehicles are maintained according to specification and monitored during and after each trip

Scheduling:

Pre-Trip Preparations:

 

          Ensures that pre-trip inspections are carried out properly by the drivers

          Ensuring that the vehicles and drivers have the necessary equipment on board in terms of fire extinguishers, spill kits etc.

          Briefing and debriefing of drivers regarding what is required of them in terms of service delivery.

 

Post-Trip Administration:

 

          Inspection of trip reports and documents of completed loads

          Ensuring that specific details are adhered too pertaining to client request.

 

Operation Constraints:

 

          Monitoring work in progress and taking remedial action when necessary to ensure that operational problems such as those relating to access, law enforcement, hours of work, spillages, losses etc. are accounted for.

          Monitor reporting of unresolved operational problems to the Contract Manager.
