2009 to mid April 2010: Worked in Luxembourg as a translator for Euroscript S.à r.l. (55, rue de Luxembourg, L-8077 Betrange). The position involved translation and revision of EU texts, terminology research, linguistic tasks and working with CAT tools.
2006 to 2008: Worked as a tour guide on Santorini island.
2006 to 2007: Taught English as a foreign language to young learners at the private English school EVROGNOSI.
2004 to 2006: Taught Translation techniques at The Athens Metropolitan College, a 2-year-course for professional translators. The courses introduced the students to the principles of Communicative Translation through a variety of texts from literature to journalistic and technical texts.
2004: Translated the book of Stephen Arroyo, Astrology, Psychology and the four elements, as well as the book of Liz Greene, Astrology for Lovers, both published by Pyrinos Kosmos.

2002 to 2004: Cooperated with various theatre companies as well as the National Theatre of Greece as a dramatologist and assistant director for the following plays:

2002: Worked as a translator for the Greek edition of Le Monde Diplomatique, Maniére de voir, as well as the Greek edition of the French magazine Marie Claire (Lambrakis Publications).
2001: Translated the French play, Le Barbier de Seville by Beaumarchais, published by DODONI Publishing House, Athens, Greece.
2001: Translated the French play, Le voyageur sans bagage by Jean Anouilh.
1997 to 2001: Taught at the Hellenic American Union (HAU) of Athens, Department of Translation, a 2-year course for professional translators, who wished to expand their training and prepare for the Diploma of Translation, issued by the Institute of Linguists in England. The analytical approach of the texts involved
• identification of translation difficulties
• literal translation and paraphrase
• detection of transfer errors between languages
• identification and transfer of cultural elements
• terminology
• jargon, slang, collocations
At the same time gave lectures on the communicative theories of translation (Peter Newmark theory) and presented the translation difficulties between the English and Greek language.
1996 to 1997: Worked at The Body Shop of Athens, Greece, (GINKO) as Environmental Coordinator and translator. The position’s main task was to present the environmental policy of the company to franchisees and work together with organizations such as the Greenpeace, WWH, Amnesty International in common campaigns.
1995 (July to October): Stage at the Greek Translation Department of the European Parliament in Luxembourg.
1994 to 1995: Taught Translation techniques at the British Council of Athens, Department of Translation.
1988 to 2007: Taught English as a foreign language to young learners and adults in various private schools of Greece.
v1986: Entered the department of Italian Literature with distinction, University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
1987 to 1991: Studied Translation and Linguistics at Ionian University in Corfu, Greece. The course provided research on translation theory; linguistic/pragmatic aspects of translation; paratextual framing of translated texts; as well as Cultural Studies, Law and European Institutions.
