Responsibilities: I was requested to tutor a high government official with advanced English skills to help improve his speaking and listening abilities and tutor him on Western culture such as literature and art. I would help utilise the language he knew and develop it with the addition of teaching analytic skills, forming ideas and creative notions in English.

Responsibilities: With my degree and TEFL certificate (120 hours) I travelled to China to teach English as a foreign language. I had to remain organised and calm in a new environment whilst keeping a positive working attitude ensuring that my standards of teaching remained high by creating new teaching methods weekly, keeping large classes of pupils focussed and attending regular meeting and open lessons. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching and I feel that I have also become more cultural aware and confident in my abilities to keep lessons fun and learning the centre objective.

Employer: University of Hull: Department of Psychology (2014)
Responsibilities: I provided lessons to students on the topic of higher education, assisting the running of educations workshops and upholding to the ACE (Access to College Education) curriculum. I had to instruct students on proper conduct and use of equipment, keep lessons engaging and within the student’s interests and abilities designed to raise their awareness of higher education. I would supervise presentations and assist faculty staff and attend regular meetings.
Position: Academic Program Specialist – Focus on Psychology and study skills.
Employer: Independent (2012-2014)
Responsibilities: Teaching primary and secondary schools science related concepts. I designed personalised lesson plans to suit the needs and motivations of each individual and ran workshops to enhance the students learning abilities and confidence. I regularly mark and evaluate student’s assignments in line with successful progress reports. I have to be responsible for my own time management, preparation and delivering sessions that are useful.

Employer: University of Hull: Department of sciences and engineering (2012 –2014)
Responsibilities: Provided lessons on the topic of Psychology, Biology, Sociology, Neuropsychology and study skills to undergraduate students. I worked individually and within a team of specialist to develop lesson plans and study programmes to meet the group’s needs. I assessed the student’s abilities, marked assignments and took advantage of a variety of learning equipment’s to create unique lessons to aid learning. I advised on proper study methods and coursework and exam techniques to aid the student’s abilities to perform academically in conjunction with learning course material.

3 A-Levels including English Language, Psychology and Biology.
