Music Journalist (2010-2014)
As a music journalist I have travelled and written about many music scenes
around the world for AsiaPacific Creative Landing Pad Inflight Magazine,
Negative Guestlist, Cyclic Defrost and New York's Tom Tom Mag. In the
past I have discussed things such as Le Grande Triple Alliance in France,
Innovation in the Chinese Music Industry, Melbourne experimental music
culture, along with self publishing an 80 page music journal on early 80s
German record label Zickzack.
Tour Manager/Booker (2011-2015)
I have many organised shows and tours in Australia for international and
national musicians such as Axemen (NZ), Sun Araw (USA), Puro Instinct
(USA) and Lafidki (FR). This role involves looking after big groups of people
and using a variety of communication skills.
Film
Tooth & Claw (2008-2010): For this film company I did a variety of work from
Art director to 1 st and 2 nd Director. I made music videos for Megan
Washington and advertisements for the likes of Puma. This job involved
working with children and managing large groups of people for long periods of
time.
Hospitality/Events:
Harry The Hirer (2008-2014): In this job I worked behind the scenes of large
exhibitions and sporting events, custom building stands and rooms.
Murramarang Nature Resort (2004-2008): During this four years I travelled
Europe and America, coming home to Australia in the summer to work at
Murramarang Resort. Here I worked in day care, looking after up to 30
children at once. I also worked in the restaurant and bar organising many
functions.
