Conservatorship Specialist III 4/8/13-12/8/13 Department of Family Protective Services, Austin, TX § Responsible for providing services to children in state custody and investigating any reports of abuse or neglect by caregivers. § Met with children face to face monthly to ensure safety and well being § Provided Services to parents that were court ordered to do so or who requested certain services § Performed drug tests on parents who had a history of substance abuse. § Find placement for children who must leave their home, rather it bee in foster care or adoption. § Work with therapist, lawyers, teachers, etc, to address what would be in the best interest of the child. § Provide transportation for children to visitations. § Official medical custodian of children under my care. § Supervised visits between children and parents. § Attend court hearings that had to do with Termination of Parental Rights, Ex-Parte hearings, Status hearings, etc. § Provided information to services that could be beneficial to the family (Medicaid, shelters, etc). § Documented all activities and history with the case. These documents where made into reports that had to be submitted in a timely manner. |
