Organisation Name/Address: Hays educational recruitment
For the last few months I have worked for Hays recruitment agency where I have had several different placements within a school or nursery. I have worked continuously in two different schools to gain valuable experience. I have worked at two different schools. One being Ty Gwyn in Cardiff. This is a school for children with special needs. I have worked with the autistic section of the school and the other side of the school which is for the children with physical difficulties. Through this I have completed my manual handling training and I am now able to use the hoists for the children in the school.
Most recently I have been working in Heol y Celyn Primary School in Rhondda Cynon Taff as a long term supply. I currently work in the nursery of the school with 33 children. I work 5 full days a week in the nursery. I am able to work under pressure there as it is a very busy nursery. I help the children to help them reach their potential. I supervise the children and able to supervise the children independently. I have gained confidence by going into new schools and nurseries. I the nursery I have been given a group of children to work with as a key worker and outline what they may need to help develop their learning. I often supervise outdoor play and engage in activities that support their learning.

Organisation Name/Address: Hermes parcel net Ltd Courier
I am able to work effectively and to a deadline to ensure parcels are delivered to the satisfaction of the customer. It involved solving problems and working under pressure which I do well. This job also involves communicating with both customers and other couriers. It is important to use effective communication as the other couriers will need important information for the next working day. I currently work weekends but have been cover for as many as 6-7 full weeks. I always benefit the customers by working out of hours to deliver the customers parcel so I would say I go the extra mile for the customers.¬¬ This job also involves sorting out problems and enquiries across the phone as well as sorting things out face to face. I will always sort the problem out and have had many good compliments about how I go about helping customers. As I have good people skills I am able to effectively communicate with the customers ensuring they know exactly what is happening or what will happen. I am very clear and confident with what I say. So I have years of experience with customer service.

Learning support assistant to ages 3 – 19
The job included supporting children and staff, keeping children safe, meeting needs of children, helping with daily routines, following policies of the setting and liaising with parents to ensure they were updated on their children. As this was a school for special needs children I showed understanding of diversity. Some children would require constant supervision and I provided that to the children that needed it. I would make sure they were safe and showed good understanding of assessing risks that could cause the child harm. I went on school trips with the children every week therefore had to be aware of the children and what they were doing at all times. I also conducted the children's weekly I.E.Ps.
