胜利新西兰学校是2003年经山东省教育厅批准成立的，山东省首家与新西兰合作办学，胜利油田第一家中外合作股份制国际高中学校。原油田一中全国模范教师葛昕女士任校长，新西兰企业家Lawrence Liu先生任董事长。

胜利新西兰学校下设高中部、国际部。高中分国内班和出国班，国内班学制三年，参加国内高考，为国内大学培养合格新生；出国班学制2.5年，通过高中教育和强化英语教学，向国外大学输送合格留学生；国际部面向社会，开展出国留学服务及高端英语培训。

OVERVIEW OF SHENGLI-NZ SCHOOL TEACHING ENVIRONMENT 

SCHOOL, STAFF AND STUDENTS

Opened in September 2003, Shengli New Zealand school runs a programme for middle-school students(year6 to 12) wishing to go on to further study in western countries. The students’ day is divided between studying Chinese subjects with Chinese teachers, and English with a native speaker.

As a growing school, there are about 200 students. The English Department currently has two foreign teachers and 8 Chinese English teachers. We enjoy spacious office surroundings, well equipped with individual Internet access and a library of imported ESOL resources. 

The management and staff are supportive, and working and living conditions are well above average. Mutual cooperation is highly valued in the school, and this contributes to a harmonious cross-cultural environment.

Dongying is located in Shandong province, a 3-hour drive inland from Qingdao. Dongying and its several outlying suburbs have a combined population of about 2 million. Dongying is a small, but comparatively wealthy city. In the 1950’s, oil was found in surrounding areas: thus it has become the center of Shengli Oilfield.

The city center is compact, and the main shopping area covers a few blocks reached conveniently by taxi, pedicab or foot. Shopping is good. You can buy everything you need in local department stores, and while the range of international products is fairly limited , the variety and availability of food and produce is astounding.

Dongying’s entertainment options are not inexhaustible. It is, however, friendly, and the international wage affords a high quality of life here.
