I’m an aspiring teacher with a background of work in the legal profession.
I originally completed an English and History degree and I have always had an interest in teaching and education, however, I pursed a legal career for several years before deciding that I was more suited towards teaching.
I have a long standing family tradition in the teaching profession. Both my grandparents were successful teachers and my grandfather was headmaster of St Gabriel’s RC High School and received an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for his service to education. Both of my parents lecture at Universities, my step-father is a well regarded musician and piano teacher and my great uncle is an emeritus Professor at Lancaster University.
With this support and knowledge behind me, I am hopeful that I will progress and thrive as a successful teacher.
I have just finished my Legal Practice Course and Masters in Law, Business and Management and have worked in a law firm for the last six months.
I’m passionate about travelling and exploring new cultures. I have travelled in Europe, Japan, the Middle East and America. However, I’m diligent and want to entwine my love of travelling with the fantastic opportunity to teach English. I believe that this is a fantastic way, not only for me to integrate into the society, but to benefit the local community. |
