Luis Marin School, Bridgeport, CT August 2016 Responsible for Fountas and Pinnell Reading level testing and scoring, “On demand writing” testing and scoring, data recording, spread sheet records for 7th grade and facilitating curriculum.
Innovation in Education: SAGE and BRAVE Hamden, Passages Program, New HavenConnecticutJuly 2009- February 2016, program lost funding Head of Educational Services, Developed Affective Education Curriculum for Youth Resiliency, in publication, for Language Arts and is currently used in four programs; Assembled Anthologies of student work, Instructor of Language Arts; Facilitator of Community Building and the implementation of a challenging and engaging multidisciplinary curriculum, with main emphasis in helping students develop insight as learners, as individuals, communicators and ascitizens. Compiled several volumes and issues into publications of studentwork.

Naugatuck Valley Community College, Waterbury, CT January 2007-May 2008, Adjunct Instructor of Developmental English, emphasis placed on practicing the writing process. Students begin with the parts of speech and complete the course writing MLA format essays, building to a 5 pagepaper.
Holy Cross High School, Waterbury, CT January 2008-June 2008 Instructor of Grade 9 College Preparatory English; Instructor of Effective Writing, a process-oriented course that helps students master a full range of rhetorical strategies for successful college writing. The emphasis is writing clear, concise expository, analytical and persuasiveessays
Waterbury Public Schools Alternative Schools, Enlightenment Program, Waterbury, Connecticut August 2004 to June2007 Program for adjudicated, severely at-risk and/or teenparents; Instructor of Speech and Communications; Instructor of Visual Literature; Instructor of Journalism and other English classes; Facilitator of various positive youth projects within the school’s community; Creator and advisor for student newspaper (a publication for The Board of Education, community, students and parents;) Advisor for drama club; generated funding for programs, coordinated activities such as Shakespeare productions and The Big Read. Proposed and implemented an after-school writing program for Granville Academy students, Enlightenment Students, Character Counts and Students of the Week; Served on many committees: data team, school improvement, graduation,writing improvement plan, school improvement plan, etc. Produced and directed school plays. 2006 state test results for Waterbury showed that the only writing improvement in high school for the district were students in my classes. State test results for 2007 showed and improvement of 11% from 2006. State test results for 2008 results indicated that 90% of students in my 2007 classes were proficient in Interdisciplinary Writing and Response to Literature. Compiled several volume and issues intopublications.
