Work Experience: JinLing Primary School - English Teacher February 2015 - Present Responsibilities: I teach 22 classes each week to students from grade 1-5. These students are part of an international program made up of mostly Chinese students who wish to learn English at a young age. I use songs, games, and other activities to draw the students in and make the class interesting for them. Web International English – English Teacher May 2012 – February 2015 Responsibilities: I teach 25 1-hour oral English classes per week and spend 3 hours per work day preparing for classes and creating new exercises and activities to help students learn. I teach students of all ages from as young as 7 years old to as old as 60 years old each with varying degrees of English proficiency – from beginners to advanced students. Nanjing Lighthouse International School August 2011-April 2012 - Teacher Responsibilities: I supervise 15 students from ages 7 to 20 as they work independently. I am also in charge of teaching an ESL class to young children, organizing school field trips, managing the school computer lab, and supervising physical education class. My students are from Mexico, Educador, Brazil, Indonesia, Congo, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.
Nanning Tutoring Center 2007 – June 2011 - Math and Science Teacher Responsibilities: I have been the math and science teacher for the Nanning Tutoring Center for 4 years. It is an international school with students from over 10 countries including Korea, China, Vietnam, Australia, United States, Malaysia, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. I teach students between the ages of 10 - 18 with class sizes ranging from 1-15 students. My other responsibilities are to maintain a computer lab of 15 computers and to take students out exercise and games for 1 hour per day.
